glass & jewellery
Connell & Hart have been making glass & jewellery since 1988 after graduating from Sunderland University where they studied glass and ceramics.
They are leading practitioners in the field of glass jewellery making and make all of their jewellery from a method which they developed themselves based upon the Pâte de Verre method of glassmaking pioneered by glass artists such ac Gabriel Argy - Rousseau and Lalique in the early 20th century. This involves arranging different sized grains of glasses in handmade moulds and fusing them in the kiln. On removal from the kiln the glass is ground and polished to make unique pieces of jewellery.
